Simpy Stampin' on Saturday - Purse for Lip Balm or Hand Lotion and Whimsical Christmas Card

Small Purse made with accented bottom
I decided to extend my original purse design to show a trim of red at the bottom of the purse.  The bottom of the purse is made from Real Red Cardstock - 2 3/4" x 6 1/2"-score the short side at 1", 1 3/4" to fold and burnish.  I added a light scoreline at 3/4" and 2" to show me where to attach the DSP so that both sides of the purse are symmetrically placed. On the long side, I scored at 1" and 5 1/2".  Trim the sides to make the folds and box for the purse base.  The two pieces of DSP are cut 4 1/2" x 3 to create the two panels for the purse.  These are adhered 1/4" from the bottom of the purse base.  I used a 1" x 3" strip of Real Red, folded in half, for the purse closure and a 5/8" Velcro circle to attach the front.  The straps are two 6" pieces of the Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon.  Stamp a sentiment on a small circle and layer that onto a coordinating scalloped circle.

One piece of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper is used to make this shorter version of the purse.  Score on the long side at  2 3/8" and 3 5/8".  On the short side, score at 3/4" and 5 1/4".

This whimsical card made is with the Warm & Toasty stamp set.  I used Night of Navy for the base, 4 1/4" x 11".  The inside of the card has a piece of Whisper White, 5 1/4" x 4, with image and sentiment stamped in Night of Navy ink.  The outside of the card has an embossed (Winter Snowflake) 2 1/4" x 4" piece of Seaside Spray and a 4" x 3" piece of Plaid Tidings DSP, trimmed with a strip of Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon.  The Night of Navy image and sentiment are on a 2" Circle Punch piece of Whisper White, layered onto a 2 1/4" Scalloped Circle Punch Night of Navy piece.  I added a piece of the Square Vellum Doilie under the layered circles and then finished it off with some rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones.

Thursday's Sip & Stamp - Mini Wine Boxes & Cheese Crackers Treat Wraps

Watch Facebook Live for details in making these projects

I love wine, cheese, and crackers any day!  So I was inspired to create these complimentary giftables:  a wine gift box and cheese cracker wrap.

These wine boxes have the same basic dimensions for scoring and assembling the boxes.  The major difference is one measurement that alters the height of the box.  Many bottled beverages fit in the width of this box.  For the taller box, which fits a Demi or Half bottle of wine or Prosecco, you will need to use a 12 X 10 1/2" sheet of Night of Navy Cardstock.  For the shorter bottle of wine, a Piccolo or Split, the Night of Navy cardstock is 8 1/2" x 10 1/2".  In both cases, you will score the 10 1/2" side at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2"", and 10".  Make a quick turn to the adjacent side and then score one end at 2 1/2", which will actually be trimmed for the bottom tabs.  Each of the four sides will need a piece of Designer Specialty Paper cut to 2 1/4" x 5  or 2 1/4" x 8 1/2" for the taller box.   To make the lid, cut a piece of 4 9/16" x 4 9/16" Night of Navy cardstock.  Score all four sides at 1", cutting the tabs on each side, and folding to create the sides of the lid.  The lid can be topped with a 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" piece of DSP or sentiment tag.
I used the Sounds of the Season dies to cut out bells to embellish the front of the box.  Additionally, I used a Square Vellum Doilie and Night of Navy ribbon.

The cheese cracker wrap is so easy to make.  One sheet of Designer Speciality Paper cut at 6" x 5.75", scored on the long side 1 3/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", and 5"; and on the short side scored at 3/4".  Once burnished, and the tabs trimmed, adhere the 1/2" tab across to the opposite side to create the enclosed box.  Close and adhere the bottom flaps.  Use the 1/2" punch to create the hole about 1/2" from the top of the enclosure opening.  This is a great way to feature a beautiful ribbon, as it will be used to wrap around and pull up the cracker package.  Thread the ribbon from the outside in on one side, use the cracker package to push the ribbon down, and then push out the ribbon from the inside out, bringing it up to create a big bow.  When you pull up on the bow, the ribbon will pull up the cracker package.  I used the Label Me Lovely Punch to create the Green Foil label.  Cut it in half down the center and attach it to the backside of a Whisper White sentiment label punched from the same Label Me Lovely Punch.

Don't Stop Believin' because Santa's bringing treats in his bag , This Gleaming Christmas - Simply Stampin' Saturday

Santa Bag filled with candy!

This cute Santa bag is created with the All Dressed Up Dies.  I used Real Red for the body of the Santa suit.  The straps and belt were cut from the same die, using Real Red and Basic Black.  The buttons were cut from a die in this set as well, using the Brushed Metallic paper.    I used the second Stitched Oval shape to cut a tag in Whisper White for Santa's face.  Santa's face was stamped with Black Momento Ink and shaded in with Real Red Blender pens. The Basic Black scalloped oval is from the Layering Ovals Dies.  To give a more authentic texture, I unrolled a cotton ball and adhered the strips of cotton to the Santa hat and suit.

This card is made from the Gleaming Christmas Bundle.  I used the Designer Specialty Paper to punch two ornaments for the card front.  The card base is 4 1/4" x 11" Pretty Peacock.  I created a Copper Foil frame with the Stitched rectangle dies which I would later place a piece of 5" x 3 3/4" Whisper White on top.  First, I stamped the bough branch from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set in Pretty in Peacock and shaded the branch using the Bronze Blends Pen.  Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the two ornaments punched from the Ornament punches.  The sentiments on the front of the card and images inside of the card were stamped from the Gleaming Christmas Stamp Set in Pretty in Peacock ink.

November Paper Pumpkin Alternative - A Gingerbread House

 FACEBOOK LIVE FOR DETAILS

This cute Paper Pumpkin Kit has the ingredients to make many gift tags and encasements.  I took two of the tag coverings and used the scored tab to adhere one tag covering to another tag covering.  Prior to that, I used the Brick embossing folder to put a brick texture on the Gingerbread house walls.  I also embossed a small piece of Cinnamon Cider that was cut to cover over the door to the back of the house.   For the bottom of the box, I used a 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" piece of Cinnamon Cider scored at 5/8" all the way around.  Burnish the score lines and trim the side tabs to create a base with four sides.  Wrap the Gingerbread house pieces around the base to create an open box. I used the Umbrella Builder Punch to cut candy canes from diagonally patterned DSP to adorn the back of the house.  Punch a small (1/16") hole on both sides of the house apex to slide the Play Pets Combo Ribbon through it.  After placing candy or other treats into the box, pinch the sides of the house at the top to enable the ribbon to close the top of the box.

Thursday Sip & Stamp - Lip Balm Case & Evergreen Forest Foil Embossed Card

Evergreen Forest Trees Embossed in Green Foil with Colored Embossing

I made this card with Thick Whisper White Cardstock for the base (5 1/2" x 8 1/2")  The next layer is made from 5 1/4" x 4" Whisper White and a layer of  2 1/4" x 4" Green Foil, embossed together with the Evergreen Embossing Folder.  The Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon is wrapped around the embossed layer with a simple knot in front. I used the large Stitched Circle to stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Means More Stamp Set.  I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment first in Shaded Spruce Ink and then again with Versamark Ink, finishing it off with Clear Embossing Powder.  The card is finished with a sprinkle of Holiday Rhinestones for accent.

Simply Stampin' on Saturday for Seasonal Gifts and Greetings

Fruit Cake Gift Box

I found this small block of Fruit Cake at Walmart and thought it would be the perfect size, economical gift for an office mate, teacher, etc.  I customized the measurements specifically for this fruit cake.

Begin with the basic box, Cherry Cobbler, cut to 8" x 10 1/4"; score along the 8" side, at 1/2", 2 1/4",, 4 1/4", and 6".  Turn tot he 10" side so the 1/2" strip is at the top of the scoring tool, then score at 1 3/4", 7 3/4", 8 3/4" and 9 1/2".  Cut along the score lines to create the top flaps and bottom flaps.  (Refer to FB video.)

I used the Pine Tree Punch to create four trees from Mossy Meadow Card Stock.  Score each tree down the middle, fold and adhere the backs together, finishing off by adhering the first tree back with the fourth tree back to create the 3D Christmas Tree.  The tree trunks are folded outward so  they are used as the tabs to adhere the tree onto the lid of the box.

Season Greetings Holiday Card

This one stamp set, Snowfront, creates an image of a professionally sketched winter scene.
I used 4 1/4" x 11" Pretty Peacock as the base of the card, layered with a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper, with the top layer of 5" x 3 3/4" Whisper White.  After stamping the wintery scene in Smoky Slate, I wrapped the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the WW piece before adhering it to the Plaid Tidings card front.
