Hello friends and fellow crafters!
I hope the summer has been treating you well!  It's been a very hot and dry summer for us in San Antonio!   June is the first month for our new Stampin' Up! 2018-2019 Catalog and was also a very hectic month for the Valle household.  Summer schedules for us included more grandkids around the house and many tasks to accomplish.
Nonetheless, it's been worth the wait because:

1.   We have a HUGE sale on Designer Series Paper!  Buy three packs of DSP and get one free!

2.   Get an entire color family of ink pads free!!! That's right! That's ten ink pads free when you join my team!  You get to choose any SU products to total $125,
AND choose a color family of ink pads, ALL for $99, plus tax --Total cost to you is only $107.17,  because shipping is free!!  This is an amazing deal and will only be good through July 31, but don't wait!  Get your goodies now and enjoy them right away!  Oh, and let's not forget, once you are a team member, you will immediately begin saving 20-25% on all future purchases.   I will happily walk you through the process by phone or email or in person if you're local.

Being a demonstrator is about getting in on early previews of new products, special purchases before catalogs go live, access to many other demonstrators and the SU Demonstrator website filled with the latest and greatest news.  On my team, we celebrate each other's creations and success.  We meet once a month to share and learn new things.  And we spend a little time to craft together too!

3.  There's a class this Sunday!  Feeling Tropical but stuck in SA for the weekend?  Come over Sunday afternoon and let's create some cards and a treat box using the Tropical Chic DSP.  There will be prizes and treats.  And you'll get your free catalog if you haven't already received one.

I had three celebrations of life this month.  One was the celebration of the life my cousin had until his passing on April 18.  He was the eldest of all my many cousins and will be dearly missed.  It’s always bittersweet at this time because I am sad to not have the person I love on this earth anymore, and yet I reconnect with so many of my other relatives I love so very much, from near and far away.
My one and only, and very fabulous sister had a birthday on April 21, and as has become a tradition for us, we went to NIOSA (Night In Old San Antonio) Tuesday night to celebrate!
And then there’s the celebration of my own life.  My birthday was April 24. I feel blessed to be healthy and on this earth, sharing a beautiful life with my parents, my husband, my children, grandchildren, and many good friends!  And with God’s grace I will see my 60th birthday in 2019!

Cheers to Life... My Sister and me

Box Pop-Up Birthday Card

  • Cut cardstock to 4 1/4" x 10" for the box part of the card.
  • Score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 3 3/4", 5", 6 1/4", 7 1/2", and 8 3/4"

  • Cut the cardstock that will be the pop-up card to 3 1/4" x 5 1/2"

  • Cut DSP for card box - 2 pieces each 1"x 4"
  • Cut DSP for card front - 1 piece - 1" x 4"
  • Place the DSP between the 1 1/4" and 2 1/2 folds, the 3 3/4" and 5" folds, and the 5" and 6 1/4" folds.

  • Use the Whisper White cardstock for sentiment, sized 1 1/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Place the sentiment cardstock between the 2 1/2 and 3 1/4" folds.

  • At the 5" fold, cut a slit, leaving a 3/8" margin from each edge.
  • This is where the card will be inserted to pop-up.

  • Stamp and decorate the pop-up card using the candles from the Picture Perfect Birthday and the cake from the Cake Soiree.  I stamped the candles on a scrap of Whisper White, cut them in half lengthwise to suit the cake size better.  The sentiment "May Your Day be as Wonderful as You" is stamped at the top of the pop-up card is from Cake Soiree too.  I used the Silver Embossing Paste, too, to add texture and design to the cake.

  • Place the pop-up cardstock into the slit and center the card between the first and last folds, which are folded inward. Hold in place with Tombow Liquid adhesive.

  • Using about 18" piece of the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, wrap it through the box, in front of the pop-up card, and make a bow.

What are your thoughts?
This is my first sampler.  I picked colors that would blend in with my living room decor.  I've decided to host a class to create this sampler, but I'm allowing for a choice of colors and Designer Paper to be used.

Anniversary No. 22!

Twenty-two years ago I married the most wonderful man:  husband and father.  We created a blended family of six children.  Fast forward to today, we have seven grandsons and one granddaughter.  Our family life is lively and busy and we wouldn't have it any other way!
This photo was taken several years ago during one of our many fun trips.  We both love to travel and meet new people, see new places, and try new adventures.  I am so blessed I married my best friend!

Here's one of the cards I made for my love:

I used strips of Painted With Love DSP to create a collage of color.   Our lives together are very colorful and full of a myriad of adventures.  I embedded the gold heart inside the Fresh Fig heart to represent how my husband's heart is part of my own heart.  Our hearts make one.  Because we met late in life, we may never see the golden 50 year anniversary, so I consider every year a golden year married to my love.  Happy Anniversary, Robert!

February Newsletter

Happy February!

January was a great month for new friendships!  We've made new friends through our card classes and had four new demonstrators join our group!

Welcome Cathleen Huff, Lu Ann Kirk, Gloria Dancause, and Rita Banda!
Most have joined as hobby demonstrators.  What that means to them is that for $99, they selected $125 of Stampin' Up! products, and selected two additional stamp sets, while paying no shipping fee, and now they will start saving 20% on all their orders!!  Way to go ladies!

Anyone of you can also join our team as a demonstrator!
The only requirement to remain an active demonstrator and save 20% on your orders is to maintain a $300 minimum purchase/sales per quarter.  BUT - here's the good news!  Your first quarter doesn't start until April, so you have until April - June to meet the requirement.  There is no penalty if you can't sustain this requirement.  You are given an additional month in "pending status" to meet the requirement, and if you don't, then you will merely be removed from the demonstrator roll.
Now, having explained that I want you to know you will have my commitment to you to help you with opportunities to meet your minimum.  I want you to enjoy the benefits of being a demonstrator.  Call or email and let's have a personal conversation about this opportunity.

Celebration Continues with more choices!

We are excited to announce that the second release of Sale-A-Bration pre-order begins
